"TOTING FEELINGS" – A FRESH START FOR 2025.

As we step into a brand-new year, it's time to reflect on the emotional burdens we carry and the impact they have on our lives. Just as we clear out old belongings to make space for new beginnings, we must also release the emotional baggage that weighs us down. The story of the sage and his disciple offers a timeless lesson for us to embrace as we welcome 2025—a reminder that holding onto past regrets and judgments prevents us from moving forward and fully experiencing the present.

The Story of the Sage and the Disciple.

Once, an old sage was walking through a forest with his young disciple. Their journey was filled with profound conversations and learning. As they reached a riverbank, they encountered a young woman in distress, unable to cross the river. The old sage compassionately carried her across, while the disciple judged his master for breaking their vows. Hours later, the sage gently reminded his disciple that he had put the woman down at the riverbank, but the disciple was still carrying her in his mind.

This story teaches us that holding onto past events, regrets, and judgments hinders our ability to move forward. As we enter the New Year, let's resolve to put down the burdens we've carried for too long.

Letting Go for a Fresh Start.

In life, we often cling to negative experiences, replaying them in our minds. Whether it’s a harsh word, a missed opportunity, or an unresolved conflict, these lingering thoughts can poison our present moments.

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to practice **letting go. As we begin this new chapter, consider these steps as a guide to starting the year with a lighter heart and a positive mindset. Here are some steps to help:

  1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: Recognize what emotional baggage you’re holding onto.
  2. Reflect and Release: Understand why you feel the way you do, and then consciously decide to let it go.
  3. Focus on Positivity: Replace negative thoughts with gratitude and affirmations.
  4. Seek Spiritual Guidance: Turn to prayers, meditation, and scripture for inner peace.

Scriptural Insight: Hanuman Ji’s Confidence.

The Sundar Kanda of the Ramayan, known for its inspiring tales of devotion and perseverance, offers another powerful example of how thoughts shape our reality. When Hanuman Ji met Vibhishan in Lanka, he encountered a devotee plagued by doubt and fear. Despite his devotion to Lord Ram, Vibhishan’s negative mindset kept him feeling unworthy and very importantly, kept him in Lanka. Hanuman Ji, on the other hand, carried unwavering confidence and positivity, which led him to success.

The contrast between these two characters shows us that our mindset directly impacts our lives.

Practical Application for 2025.

To make 2025 a year of growth and fulfillment, commit to leaving behind emotional baggage. Embrace the freedom that comes with letting go, and allow yourself to move forward with clarity and purpose. Adopt these practical steps:

  • Set Intentions, Not Resolutions: Instead of rigid resolutions, set intentions that align with your spiritual and personal growth.
  • Practice Gratitude: Start each day by acknowledging what you’re grateful for.
  • Forgive and Move On: Release past grievances and forgive yourself and others.
  • Embrace New Experiences: Be open to new opportunities and challenges without the weight of past fears.

Conclusion: Leave It Where It Happened.

As the old sage said, "I put her down at the riverbank." Let that be your mantra for 2025. Put down the burdens you’ve carried for too long. Let go of regrets, disappointments, and doubts. Embrace the New Year with a light heart and a clear mind.

As we step into this new year, may it be filled with peace, prosperity, and profound spiritual growth. Together, let's embark on a journey of discovering divine guidance in the everyday moments of our lives.
